‘Real Reasons I Didn’t Add ‘Dot Com” – NSCDC Chief

After his Gaffe on National TV, the Lagos State NSCDC Commandant, Mr Obafaiye Shem, who was interviewed on Channels Television and couldn't tell his organisation's website, has immediately issued a statement in his defense, saying his "reluctance to put 'dot.com' at the end of the website was totally intentional and not regretted"
In his statement, he says he "intentionally shied away from using the dot com", as it sounded sexual, in fact, too sexual to be uttered on "Live TV". He also said the presence of a Woman on the panel made him "too uncomfortable to say the word 'com', a Homonym of 'cum' as it would have been embarassing for her"
In an exclusive Telephone chat , he further said:

"Look, i did not want to embarass myself by saying such dirty word. There was a woman there, how would i have sounded? I am a man of high moral standing…….if you think i'm telling lie, ask MY OGA AT THE TOP. That Is All"

Meanwhile, GEJ has just watched a recording of the interview, and has set up a committee to find out the real Website of the NSCDC.

Below are some of those subtle and funny "things" about Nigerian Nollywood movies. Enjoy!

1.Isn't funny that a Ghost picks up a call in Nollywood, how is this possible?

2. Why would a Ghost have to look "left and right" before crossing the road?

3.Isn't it funny for two Ghost to fall in love, na wa!

4. Why is it that Nollywood characters die or run mad immediately after their confessions?

5. How come a legendary Village Movie, set in the 70′s, still find Brazilian hair on Mercy Johnson?

6. Must all hired assassins be found in uncompleted or abandoned buildings?

7. Will a Yoruba movie ever be complete without a visit to the 'Baba'?

8. Observe, nine out of ten times, Olu Jacobs dies of heart attack in Nollywood movies, why?

9. "15 years ago" , Ini Edo calls her boyfriend with a Blackberry Bold 5. How possible?

10. When poor people come to Lagos to struggle, they always make it. How true is this?

11. Isnt it funny for Segun Arinze to act as Ramsey Noah's dad?

12. Isn't it interesting for a blind woman to say "I'm happy to see you, my son"?

Feel free to add your own observations! May God help Nollywood.

(FRESH NEWS) Minister Of Aviation Stella Oduah Buys 2 Bulletproof BMWs Worth N255 Million

Sahara reporters initially reported the story that the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah purchased two BMWs worth about N255 million ($1.6 million) recently. The story went unconfirmed for a while, but just today, the Ministry confirmed this to be true.

According to Punch Newspaper:

The two black BMW 760 Li HSS vehicles had chasis numbers WBAHP41050DW68032 and WBAHP41010DW68044, and were reportedly delivered to the NCAA on August 13, 2013. They were received by two store managers, F. Onoabhagbe and Y. A. Amzat, who is also the agency's head of transport. It is estimated that they were received between August 13th and 15th 2013.

Since Stella Oduah has been in office, there have been 2 air-crashes in Nigeria, most notably the Dana aircrash in June 2012 that killed over 150 people. There have also been near misses, most recently the Kabo Air flight carrying passengers to Saudi Arabia that had to have an emergency landing after the tires exploded mid air.

Recently she has been catching a lot of heat for saying "We do not pray for accidents but they are inevitable. But we will continue to do everything to ensure that we do not have accidents. But an accident is an act of God." For someone in charge of air safety in Nigeria, these statements hit the wrong nerve for a lot of Nigerians.

What do you make of this development? Many Nigerians are calling for her to be sacked following these allegations..... Nigeria is messed up.. What do'u think??
